- Chris LaBossiere, Founder and CEO

Continues Chris, “With this funding, and a recent change in our landfill permit to accept broader streams of waste, we will develop a C&D recycling facility in Regina and build a vertically integrated waste and recycling collection company there as well. Not to mention some plans underway to tuck-in additional services and small companies into our Edmonton location.”

About Local Waste Corp.

Local Waste Services Corp. was initially founded in 2016 through the acquisition of Black Cat Disposal, a family-owned company started by Chris and Kim Gadbois. LaBossiere adds – “In most every way we really still are a “families-owned” and operated business. My daughter Lauren LaBossiere is our Managing Partner for Alberta and a shareholder, the Gadbois family remain as minority shareholders, as do the Pettersen family of Saskatchewan who founded our landfill business.”  Mr. LaBossiere himself has over 20 years of experience in the Solid Waste, Recycling and Landfill business, as a senior executive, with major multi-national providers like Waste Management, Waste Services and the original BFI.

Other minority shareholders include Don Moroz, a successful Edmonton concrete industry entrepreneur and Thomas Pomerleau our Saskatchewan Managing Partner.
